Individual Handwriting Improvement Course 

Is your learner struggling with handwriting skills? Is written work often illegible? Is the writing speed too slow or too fast? Are letters too big or too small? Are letters or words spaced too close together or too far apart? Are sentences not following page margins?

WHO: Ages 6-12 

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

• Worksheets

• Throwing and balancing games designed to strengthen upper body to promote posture

• Fun fine motor & writing group games 

• Grip correction

• Home programs to promote development

• Following the last class, you will receive a report, containing an outline of how the group has been, a summary of your child's skills in relation to the activities completed in the group and any recommendations regarding regular therapy or equipment.

GOALS:

The occupational therapists would work on improving the core aspects that underline handwriting, these aspects include:

• Improve pencil grip and posture

• Improve the underlying aspects of handwriting with the aim of improving legibility and fluency of writing.

CLASS HOURS:

• Classes meet weekly for 60 minutes (By appointment only)

• First session will Include 30 minutes screening and parent consultation 

• All materials and supplies included

COST: $80 per class, minimal 4 classes registration required.
