Casey (Chien-Ying) Yang, PhD, OTR/L
Dr. Yang, the founder of Go Beyond Pediatric Therapy Inc., was born and raised in Taiwan. She received her Master's degree from National Taiwan University and her PhD in Occupational Therapy from New York University (NYU). As a first-generation immigrant in the US, Dr. Yang is intimately familiar with the challenges and language/cultural barriers that can impede access to resources and proper healthcare services.
With over 15 years of extensive experience working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and researcher in a variety of settings, serving diverse cultural backgrounds of pediatric population and families, Dr. Yang established Go Beyond Pediatric Therapy to provide culturally sensitive and family-oriented services to support and guide families of children with special needs, removing language and cultural barriers.
Our Mission
At Go Beyond Pediatric Therapy, we recognize that cultural backgrounds can have an impact on how parents raise and teach their children, as well as how they understand their child's needs. We understand that different cultures may have different parenting styles and beliefs, and we strive to provide services that are sensitive to each family's unique cultural context.
Our mission is to empower and support families throughout their child's development journey. We believe in making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs by providing a positive, collaborative, and enjoyable environment for them to receive individualized treatment. We meet each child where they are in their journey and build upon their strengths to achieve optimal outcomes.
